The Brazilian buttock lift (BBL) is a procedure that allows a fat transfer from unwanted areas in the body to the buttock aesthetic unit. Fat transfer to key areas of the buttock can produce a more shapely physique and an overall more balanced look to your body.
Am a good candidate for a Brazillian buttock lift?
May vary depending on their age, gender, skin laxity and desired endpoints for shape and size.
How is the procedure performed?
The procedure is performed in an outpatient setting in an accredited facility.
Fat is removed from unwanted area, processed and then introduced into varying layers of the buttocks to produce a more pleasing contour. Fat grafting access sites on the buttocks are placed in discrete locations.
Patient is restricted from pressure on the transfer site for at least 2 week.
Fat transferred commonly integrates into surrounding tissue, grows and can produce both long-lasting and natural-looking results
The most common undesirable problems are fat reabsorption which is anticipated by the plastic surgeon with the over- filling of the buttock area at the time of surgery. Minor additional touchups can be performed to further augment the buttock aesthetic unit if the patient desires. Other possible but uncommon complications of fat grafting are bruising, skin discoloration and abscess formation.
